After going though prospecting withdrawal in Dec and early Jan due to the fact we were moving to a new house, I finally got out to scratch in the dirt. Wayne, Ray and I made a few prospecting trips and we found decent gold including a nice nugget scored by Ray. I made some videos of a few trips so I don't bother to chronicle them in the blog.
On our last trip (2 days ago) we just got some flakes and fines but each of us got one picker. The question is.."what is it with Wayne and the anamistic nuggies?" He found a little nuggie that looks like
a crawdad (hopefully you have seen my video about his seahorse nugget). Ray and I commented at the same time "why don't you find one like a blue whale"
Here is a pic of the crawdad...
Today, I met Pucky, Bigfoot, Russ Tate and Ken V for breakfast in Columbia. While I was waiting for them to show up I happened to glance across the highway and noticed something unusual in a tree top.
Here are the pics..
The sun had just cleared the mountain tops and the buzzard was drying the morning dew off his wings .
He stayed in that position for about 10 minutes.....just another interesting sight in the Mother Lode.
