We hit the new spot again. I had moved a couple of pieces of bedrock and I wanted to clean up the area. Wayne was on the other side of the hole where he found a deep drop and was down three feet with no sign of bedrock. Ray cleaned up his hole and only got a few flakes. Wayne got decent gold from his hole and I got a beautiful pan with a couple of plus 20's from my side of the hole.
I spent some time working on Ray's sniping technique and then went looking for a new crevice to sample.
The first pan fron the new crevice had nice flake, 3 plus 20's and a little nuggie. Unfortunately, the plus 100 degree heat drove us off the bedrock and means we will have to return tomorrow in the cooler hours of early morning.
Here are pics of my take for the day.

I should be keeping up with this blog in a more timely fashion, but, I have posted several videos in the intrim. Wayne and I try to make a habit of cleaning out our snuffer bottles after every trip so I can document our finds for the slideshows etc. Good intentions aside, we both forgot to clean the bottles after the last two or three sampling trips we made looking for new spots to dig. These are the photos of the contents of Wayne's bottle and my bottle after stops at likely locations in Tuolumne and Mariposa counties.
